WEDDING REVEAL: PICTURES

Ladies, ladies...calm down.  I am back!  For now.  I have been crazy busy at school {working 7am-6pm and then more at home} most days.  I am hoping that things will slow down and give me some time to get back here.  Fingers crossed.

Because I know you've all be dying in anticipation, I'll kick off my return with wedding pictures!  The day was absolutely perfect and it was perfectly captured with our amaze photog John Shim.

My simplistic and perfect Lula Kate wedding gown.

My Mom made my niece's flower girl dress.  The fabric matched mine and was pretty stinking cute!

Badgley Mischka sydney pumps

 Something old {my great grandfather's pocket watch}, something new {custom made necklace} and something borrowed {Mother-in-law's pearl bracelet}

My husband's gift from a groomsman...  There's a story there.

Brooke from VIBE is a total master!

I pulled a Princess Kate and did my own makeup, following a tutorial at Sephora.

 One of bridesmaids' gifts was monogrammed button ups..and how about that gorgeous suite at The Oliver.

We tied my something old to the bouquet!

How could I skip having a giant bow on the back of my dress!?

The whole look {with the veil my mom made}

I was so impressed with how the wedding party turned out - the black and white was so sharp! {Bridesmaid dresses from Ann Taylor - no longer available}

Did I mention it was 107 degrees in Knoxville that day?  Any breeze was welcome!

The cake tasted as amazing as it looked! {Cake by Magpies Bakery, topper from TOPS Malibu

We got married in a little park in the middle of downtown Knoxville - it was intimate even though there was a crowd across the street watching!

Thanks to my bff for painting this!  {And yes, we get it...we played it up}

We danced our socks off... {and I switched out the white sash for this black sash}

..and left through sparklers!

GOIN' TO THE CHAPEL...

It's happening.  It's all happening!

Last night, my bff {J} and I picked up one of the bridesmaids at airport {the one who introduced M and I!} while three others arrived at J's house.  My sister {MOH} and niece arrived three days ago.  The bridesmaid brunch is in t-minus 3 hrs.

It's all happening!

I can't believe that my wedding is tomorrow.  This planning period has gone by so viciously quickly considered I had to wait four and a half years for that ring!

I plan to try and remain calm, cry as little as possible, soak in every moment and of course drink champagne at every turn and opportunity!  I can't wait to get back and do a plethora of wedding posts.

Until then...enjoy these clips.  Some of my favorite movie weddings {and one TV wedding}:

The Other Sister

Father of the Bride

Sixteen Candles

The Princess Bride

The Office {I can't even watch this without bawling!}

WEDDING REVEAL: INVITATIONS

So far, I think my invites have been my favorite thing about my wedding.  We wanted something classic and formal but with a modern feel.

I found a fabulous Etsy shop: Invita Paper Studio and chose a design from the Twine Collection:  Love Always.  {our actual invites are the example!}  Up until that point we knew our wedding colors were black and white but had yet to choose an accent color.  Based on one of Invita's sample we went with khaki and it turned out beautifully.  I loved the detail of the baker's twine and little tag.  Take a look:

{The whole package!}

{All of our pieces:  invite, rsvp and info card}

Adriana {the designer} was so wonderful to work with.  We wanted to do addressing from the computer to save time and gray hairs.  I emailed Adriana to ask for the names of the font and she replied with the actual fonts attached!  I was so excited that everything in the invite suite matched perfectly!

LIFE LATELY

It's the final countdown!!!  My wedding is in 9 days!!!  We are officially on the 10-day forescast:
*keep your fingers crossed that this maintains.

I've picked up a few last minute items {some good deals, some splurges}...honestly, between my bachelorette party and the honeymoon this month has just been a free for all spending-wise.  I'll have to be a penny pincher in my married life.

This is one of those deals too good to pass up.  I recently saw this gorgeous lace peplum top at Banana Republic and couldn't justify the $79.50 price tag.  Luckily my mom and I popped in last night and I found this jewel on the sale rack for $39.99 and I had a 40% off coupon for Secret Sale Wednesday - $23.99...I'll take it!
And look at this precious detail in the back.

LuckyBrand has some absolutely amazing tops with a light hippy feel.  Mom and I were oogling over so many of their items but not quite the price tags.  Feeling forlorn, we scooted into Belk and low and behold....Lucky on sale!!!
Couldn't decide between these two but ended up going with the navy because the other one was very similar to this top I already have and love.
Originally $89.50, On sale for $53.70 (plus tax, minus a store credit...I paid $6.22!)

This was a wedding-fueled splurge!  I've been eyeing this Kate Spade necklace ever since M put a ring on my finger.

 I plan on wearing it daily on the honeymoon - part of my light packing plan:  minimal jewelry.
Who doesn't love the packing details?

Any good finds lately? -Sarah

SWEET STEPHANIE

It's that time ladies - Stephanie Johnson's Friends & Family sale - 40% off {use code SJFriends}!!  This puppy ends tomorrow!

I recently invested in some toiletry and cosmetic bags as I was trying to re-vamp my travel routine in preparation for the Vegas bachelorette party and my honeymoon!  Sadly, the bags just weren't the right size for my needs so I returned them.  I was totes bummed  because I loved how thick and slightly padded the bags were not to mention how cute!

I ordered:
1 | 2 | 3

My favorite was the mini pouch.  It is a great size to fill with bandaids, medicine, chapstick, etc. and  throw in a big purse or travel tote.  Now that it's 40% off, I may have to reinvest.  :)  I have also been eyeing this brush case for almost a year!

Which SJ bags would you order? -Sarah
